Maybe you’ve seen that before.
Some bikers protect their seat tube from dirt and mud by cutting a piece of old tube, wrapping it around the post and seat tube, and securing it with cable ties.
This protection makes sense, as mud and dirt easily accumulate on the seat clamp and clamping slot in bad weather, which can get into the seat tube at the next opportunity and cause unpleasant creaking and scratches on the seat post.
Our Willy does nothing more and nothing less, but he solves this problem much more easily and aesthetically.
It is made of highly elastic silicone and is available in two different sizes. Important note: The appearance of the superimposed Willy depends on the seat clamp used!
Our Willy is very good and permanently elastic within certain limits.
However, there are also very large seat clamps with sometimes long or protruding screw heads, angular shapes that can damage the Willy in the long run because it is partially stretched too much.
Therefore, we would like to point out that we cannot guarantee that our Willy will work well in the long term with all seat clamps.
We recommend lightly greasing the inside of the Willy to allow for a smoother coating and to reduce stress on certain areas.
