35 mm carbon handlebars are often rightly considered too stiff and not very comfortable.
Many people know the problem: arm pump that occurs too quickly is often the result.

That’s why we set ourselves the highest goals for our first carbon handlebar, and you can now experience the result of more than 4 years of development work for yourself: A handlebar that is not only extremely stable and resilient, but also offers noticeable comfort – without compromising on control.

Whether on technical trails or fast downhills, the Barmate carbon handlebars ensure precise steering behavior, absorb vibrations and cushion hard impacts thanks to the designed flex, thus providing a unique riding experience.

EXPERIENCE ULTIMATE COMFORT

By making targeted use of the unique properties of carbon fibers, we have developed a handlebar that offers exceptional comfort and thus noticeably reduces arm pump and rapid arm fatigue.

The Tri-Test of the German test institute EFBE also confirms the unrestricted use of the Barmate Carbon on enduro and downhill bikes.

STACK & REACH

For the handlebar geometry, we have dispensed with the “rise” specification and introduced the more meaningful “stack” as a reference dimension for the handlebar height.

In addition, we provide a “Reach” value, which provides information on how much the handlebar moves the hands backwards and thus influences the effective stem length.

All handlebars have this reach, but it is not specified.

Both values refer to the neutral or design orientation of the handlebar.
The aim is to make handlebars of different brands directly comparable and to make changes to the cockpit more comprehensible.
