The new DEORE XT comes with either a two-piston brake for Cross Country or a four-piston brake for Trail/Enduro. The new design of the brake lever, which is mounted at an angle so that it is supported at two points on the handlebars and thus significantly increases rigidity, ensures more direct feedback and more braking power, which is further supported by SERVO WAVE technology. The brake systems are thus characterized by a faster response, higher performance and shorter idle travel.
