WHAT HAS MORE TRAVEL THAN YOU HAVE MILES ON YOUR VAN?

For the bike nomad with a penchant for wild trail tours.
Standing in the parking lot with friends, pulling the bikes out of the van and drawing a line in the mountain with your finger that you don’t know if it will be rideable.
And then let’s go, kick up, shoot down, stones crackle.
Everything shiny becomes dull, tires and brake pads wear out in a race.
That’s life.
And that’s how it should be.
And that’s exactly what the Nomad.Es is the bike in our program that has to serve for the grossest nonsense – worldwide.
And each nomad can tell about his own wild journey.
We took this into account when developing the bike: rubberized frame protectors in the most important places, lubricable bearings that sit in extra-strong aluminum rockers and a service promise that always keeps your bike fresh and can easily replace it if the worst comes to the worst.
Not a disposable product, but a reliable and tough partner for your adventures! VPP™ Suspension The VPP™ system can be optimized for each bike to always achieve the right balance between drivetrain efficiency and rear suspension performance.
The Nomad is designed to confidently smooth out the toughest hits to glide through the roughest terrain with full confidence.
And since it still pedals very efficiently, the ascent to the longest trails is not a chore, but a proven means to an end.
The short, stable rocker arms on the VPP™ system allow for a very compact, robust and rigid frame construction.
For maximum ease of maintenance and durability, the rear suspension bearings in the aluminium rockers sit on large axles.
Grease nipples make care easier. The legendary Santa Cruz guarantee Santa Cruz bikes are built to be tough and durable.
We trust durability and support it with our legendary support and the highest level warranty.

Santa Cruz Nomad V6 Details

  • 170mm travel: A single-crown bike with the travel you need for the steepest and rockiest trails.
  • Glovebox: Pack everything you need under the solid flap in your down tube.
The bike comes with “Tool Wallet” and “Tube Purse” as standard.
So you have everything quickly at hand.
  • Size-dependent geometry: The Nomad’s chainstay lengths grow with the frame size, and the seat tube angle gets steeper.
This gives every rider – no matter what size – the same balanced geometry and perfect riding characteristics.
  • MX Wheels: The MX setup provides the stability and control of the 29″ front wheel, while the 27.5″ rear wheel provides agility and an active ride.
The perfect mix for a lot of off-road riding fun.
  • Flip the chip: In the low setting, the rear end becomes more progressive, especially at the end of the travel, which almost eliminates bottom-outs.
In the High setting, the bike is slightly higher in travel and offers more support in the midrange.
  • Size-dependent frame stiffness: Taller riders cause higher loads.
That’s why we adjust the stiffness for each frame size to ensure that every rider gets the same ride quality.
  • Small details with a big effectFine frame details are the small mudguard for the shock, the tidy and easy-care cable routing in the main frame and rear end, as well as rubberized frame protectors.

The right frame size

If you’re between two frame sizes, we recommend that you test both options.
As a guide, you can compare the reach and stack values with your current bike or other well-known bikes that you feel comfortable on.
If a test drive is not possible, you can also use the following tips as a guide:

  1. With a larger frame, you have more stability and sovereignty.
You also get more freedom of movement in the bike, with less influence on balance.
With the larger frame, you have a slightly longer wheelbase, which provides additional safety and stability.
Therefore, it takes more physical effort and a slightly more active riding style to guide the bike.
Smaller bikes ride more agilely and react faster to the rider’s input.
  2. Even with the same height, every person looks different.
If you have a relatively short torso and long legs, we would recommend the smaller frame size.
If you have a long torso and long arms, you should rather go for the larger frame.
