One frame, three areas of application
Depending on the installation dimension of the shock, there is a different suspension travel range and therefore area of application.
- Trail suspension travel approx. 150mm (damper 205 x 57.5mm)
- Alpine suspension travel approx. 160mm (damper 205 x 62.5mm)
- Enduro suspension travel approx. 165mm (damper 205 x 65mm)

ANTI-SQUAT
The design of the Anti-Squat takes into account chainrings from 26 to 32 and ensures efficiency on the uphill. The lockout on the shock can largely be dispensed with, allowing the suspension to be used on uphill trail sections.
ANTI-RISE
The anti-rise value describes whether the rear suspension compresses (>100%) or rebounds (<100%) when braking. A value of 80% offers an optimum operating point that takes into account the overall characteristics of the bike and ensures balanced handling and excellent suspension properties.
LEVERAGE RATIO
The progressive ratio enables soft suspension in the SAG, provides traction, frees up a lot of suspension travel and ensures controlled utilization of the entire suspension travel. The frame is designed so that the maximum shock stroke of 65 mm can be used with an installation length of 205 mm. The maximum suspension travel increases with the frame size by extending the chainstay length.
The right frame size
If you’re between two frame sizes, we recommend that you test both options. As a guide, you can compare the reach and stack values with your current bike or other well-known bikes that you feel comfortable on. If a test drive is not possible, you can also use the following tips as a guide:
- A larger frame gives you more stability and confidence. You also have more freedom of movement on the bike, with less influence on the balance. With a larger frame, you have a slightly longer wheelbase, which provides additional safety and stability. You therefore need to use your body more and have a slightly more active riding style to control the bike. Smaller bikes are more agile and react more quickly to the rider’s input.
- Even if you are the same height, everyone looks different. If you have a relatively short torso and long legs, we would recommend a smaller frame size. If you have a long torso and long arms, you should opt for a larger frame.
Here you can find the Grin One geometry data*
- S: up to 170 cm
- M: 170 – 185 cm
- L: 180 – 195 cm
- XL: from 190 cm
The size recommendation is based on the standards of typical enduro bikes. Thanks to the short seat tubes and low top tube of all frames, the next larger frame size can easily be selected according to individual preferences and the area of use. It is also possible to choose a smaller frame for technical and narrower trails.
