Please note: It may happen that the charger lights up red when the batteries are inserted for the first time! This is not a defect, but the batteries are in a so-called sleep mode. To wake the batteries from sleep mode, remove the battery from the charger several times and insert it again. The LED changes from red to orange and the battery charges. This does not represent a defect, but is a protection for longer storage of the batteries.
