Kavenz | Enduro made in Germany!
It all started with a passion project of our parent company 77designz. We wanted to build an enduro bike that delivered uncompromising performance. No market studies, no bullshit marketing kinematics, just serious engineering straight to the point to build the fastest enduro we could imagine. The name we chose 'KAVENZ' comes from the German word Kaventsmann, which in our local slang (Masemate) means 'monster wave' or reliable and rugged person. Made in Germany: all Kavenz frames are manufactured and welded in Germany

The Goal:
Our goal was to create an enduro bike that climbs like an all-mountain bike, but descends like a downhill bike. To achieve the highest performance, we knew we had to go the "high pivot point" route. But there was one thing that bothered us about it and that was the high anti squat that usually comes with "High Pivot Point" bikes.
We wanted a bike that was easy on the geometry and offered enough traction when braking, but also massive support when pedaling without pedal kickback. Once we knew how to design the kinematics, we were ready to go.
During the development we were guided by the rule of simplicity: straight lines, no unnecessary weight and unnecessary hydrofoming. We believe that straight tubes have the best stiffness to weight ratio and hold up well to impacts.
After a year of working on the prototypes and many enthusiastic people trying out the bike, we decided to improve the design towards a production-ready product and start on the path to becoming a bike brand.


Frame technologies

Virtual High Pivot: Our frame takes all the advantages of high pivot point bikes without the disadvantage of a very high anti rise. Unlike typical HPP bikes, our VHP system conserves the geometry and offers enough traction under rear braking. Further, it provides massive support under pedaling without the downside of pedal kickback. The so-called Anti Squat is even fine-tuned trough out gears and travel.

High Anti Squat: Bikes with High Pivot Points naturally offer excellent support under pedaling without the downside of pedal kickback when using an idler pulley to reroute the chain. But we went a bit further and optimized the Anti Squat throughout the gears and travel to achieve what we believe is perfection. Plenty of support when climbing but no Pedal Kickback when descending, that makes you faster!

Balanced Anti Rise: Anti Rise is usually the weak point of High Pivot Point bikes as too much Anti Rise results in a less active suspension and loss of travel and traction. Thats why we payed lots of our attention to design a bike that does not change the geometry under rear braking and keeps the suspension active but also prevents the riders mass from shifting forward. We call that system VHP (Virtual High Pivot) and it makes you faster.

Komking Ahoi!

Unglaublicher Service bei der Betreuung seiner Kunden. Beratung und Unterstützung bei der Wahl der Komponenten ist eine Klasse für sich. Auch nach dem Kauf wird auf Fragen reagiert und man versandet nicht in einer Servicewüste wie bei anderen Händlern, oder Versendern. Beide Daumen hoch! Die Bewertung für das Rad kann ich noch nicht abgeben, aber die wird folgen, sobald es richtig gefahren wurde.

Das Enduro bike schlecht hin!

Ich habe lange nach solch einem bike gesucht und bin nun endlich fündig geworden. Der Hinterbau ist bis dato der beste den ich je gefahren bin. Die Verarbeitung in Raw ist wirklich RAW, frisch aus der Herstellung. Ich persönlich stehe auf diesen look. Die Verarbeitung ist klasse, auch super dass die rahmen wirklich in Deutschland hergestellt werden. Die kleinen Details am rahmen sind super durchdacht. Zu Komking kann ich nur sagen, Top wie immer - sucht seines gleichen! Super freundlich, super schnelle Lieferung auch in dieser wilden Zeit. danke :)
