Description
At first glance, the BL-M9120 Servo-Wave brake lever has hardly changed to its predecessors. Also technically, the encoder piston and the mechanics were largely adopted from the M9020. However, the suspension of the lever has been fundamentally revised. The wider clamp in the middle of the lever not only creates more space for mounting remote levers, it also offers significantly more rigidity. In combination with a support of the encoder piston on the handlebar, the brake lever offers a much more direct braking feel. According to Shimano, this design has increased stiffness and braking power by 10% and realized a 30% faster response. For optimal accessibility, the grip width of the lever is adjustable without tools.
A revised conduction system and through the use of magnesium (housing), the weight could be kept low
I Spec EV
The XTR group is equipped with the I-Spec EV attachment for brakes and shifters. I-Spec ensures that the brake and shift levers are nicely finished to a handlebar clamp. This system is not compatible with the older I-Spec A / B type or II
