Eccentric designThe grip has a circular cross-section, with the grip rubber connected off-center to the inner support sleeve. This results in more rubber on the palm side - where the cushioning is needed - and less rubber on the finger side of the grip. The reason is simple: a thin grip feels better to us than a thick grip, and the off-center design allows us to increase the damping without increasing the diameter as well. Honeycomb structureWith some of our previously favored grips with a lot of damping, we unfortunately see again and again the problem that the rubber is too soft, too thick or too finely structured, so that often after a few rides the rubber rubs off, or small lamellae tear off, especially if the surface structures are too fine. The grips already look after a few rides (at least when it goes downhill decent to the point) quite taken.For the pattern on the Grippy, we ultimately opted for a honeycomb-like structure. This offers very good damping properties in conjunction with the selected material, but is still resistant to twisting and ensures longer service life.Recessed support structureFor additional damping on the outside of the grip, we have cut out the inner plastic support sleeve, which allows the rubber to go up to the handlebar diameter at this point and accordingly provides even more comfort for the edge of the hand.Integrated end capIt is not uncommon for grips to have to endure ground or tree or other contact, and so a proper side guard is certainly in order. Again, unfortunately, some of our previous favorites have found that their end caps provide inadequate protection, or are just not there at all when the rubber goes all the way out. Tearing, which then continues in the worst case, is not infrequently the result.The end cap of the Grippy is integrated and virtually a continuation of the inner support structure. The slightly widening diameter to the end cap provides good feedback about the approaching end of the handle, the end cap itself then provides hard protection against impacts.  You can't say much more about a grip, can you? Don't do it without rubber!Who has not seen it schomal:Many protect their seat tube from too much penetrating dirt and mud by means of a piece of old hose, which they cut to size and then wrap with cable ties around support and seat tube and fix. It makes sense in any case, because at the saddle clamp and clamping slot quickly collects mud and dirt in bad weather, which slips at the next opportunity into the seat tube and there can provide annoying creaking and scratched seatposts.Please note: The appearance of the Willy put over depends on the saddle clamp used!Our Willy is very good and durable stretch within certain limits. However, there are also a few really too big saddle clamps with partly long or protruding screw heads, angular shapes, which can damage the Willy in the long run, because it is partially stretched too much.
