With hairy construction zeal, special tool design and carbon layup, it has finally succeeded to reconcile these opposites better:On puncture, the Syntace C-Series carbon rim holds out more than all known to us aluminum counterparts and is despite its robustness and 33 mm internal width with only 430 g (27.5 ") really light. To top off these advantages, the new Syntace production process also allows for unrivalled prices.Wide and light saves real grainrIn the past, narrow rims and heavy, reinforced tires were the norm. Today, however, wide rims can be combined with new, lightweight types of tires. But really wide, high-quality rims were inevitably still a bit heavier than their narrow brothers, otherwise durability suffered. A vicious circle that carbon breaks.The wider the rim, the more the weight advantages of the black material come into play in the Syntace C-Series rim, combined with a wide and light pellet:Minimum weight with low rolling resistance on rough surfaces. Additionally, inertia drops dramatically with this tire-rim combination. Why is this important?Even speed occurs at no timeWith just one crank revolution you generate two torque peaks and thus two acceleration pulses. Even at a cadence of 60 rpm, that's 120 small accelerations during one minute. Still without terrain, i.e. without the road shocks that additionally and almost continuously decelerate and accelerate the bike. The installed toothed disc freewheel has Syntace, both in the flange, as well as the Straight Pull hub, again made significantly more robust, despite the now noticeably finer detent gearing with 44 instead of 36 detent points.The hub body, in already test-optimized dimensioning, made of 7075 T6 aluminum is centered by new, lasered and waterproof Syntace MicroAdjust caps.The new Syntace Duraseal outer seal in double arrangement, as well as double-sided sealed precision deep groove ball bearings with special grease filling guarantee increased corrosion protection and a very long life.The Boost and EVO6 standard allows with our new Straight Pull hubs in EVO6 centering on both sides adjusted spoke angles and Stei gkeit.
